Hi everyone, This was a quick weekend project I made for my oldest daughter Taylor, after she came to me with her art final in hand, and (with a big smile) asked if I would make her a frame since she received a 99 out of 100 grade. She didn’t have to ask me twice, since I love making things with purpose. I had a small piece of figured sapele out in the shop that I thought would be perfect. I added the usual ebony plugs, and some splines in the corners to give it that G and G flare. Then I finished it with some waterbourne dye, followed by some BLO.
Thanks for looking,

p.s. sorry about the pics, but I’m not big on the fancy photo shoots yet.

“a quick weekend project” Showoff! LOL. I love the G & G detail; nice selection of woodgrain. Also, my daughter maybe my favorite client:) I figure maybe the same for you.

Thanks for the kind words guys, and as far as my “weekend project” it was really like 3 days . Or as my wife would say, ” you were out there forever”. Rick, my family members are by far my favorite clients. Like I said in my description, I love it when they ask me to make something for them.

Have your say...
