Another Kid’s Church project (see also http://lumberjocks.com/projects/66843) this time a graduation award for the 5th graders who are moving on to the middle-school program.
Bascially a 2×4, plywood and printed paper, my favorite mahogany stain to make it look more “elegant”, all finished with 5 coats of acryllic laquer.
The KaPOW! logo (Kids are Praying, Overcoming, Worshipping) was my first opportunity to use my 2nd-hand scroll-saw. After doing 10 of them I was starting to get the idea!
Kid’s Church is a great outlet for my woodworking, it gives me a reason/excuse to make things, and a very forgiving audience because I am so new at this!
