Sorry for the poor pictures – this rack looks a lot better in real life (that’s what they all say huh !).
The second photo is an attempt to show how the spools are nicely cradled. I think the rack looks nice and, according to my wife, it works well.
After I had cut all the slots, the piece cupped and I had to add some cleats to the back to reflatten it.
The wood is American Black Walnut.
