I took much care around the spalted maple as I turned it. Looked like two eyes poking out of a laundry basket. Gotta be careful around the spalted wood folks. Used up the last of my ebony on this and one other project. Hope you like.jockmike2 or just mike to my friends

I really like the contrast of the woods. What finish did you use on this?? Looks good.

Just stain on the spalted maple, light maple, dark walnut on the walnut, and the ebony on top I just used polywipe polyurethane and applied it with some steel wool. thanks max. mike
