I was given a 3 piece clock and weather desk unit made of glass and wood for an anniversary at work. Naturally I took it apart and made a new frame that I like. I only used the clock and thermometer parts. I made a frame of Curly Maple with Black Walnut on the corners. The inside is Wenge I band sawed to my liking. It came out pretty good and it has now been taken and sits on my wife’s desk at her work. That’s how it goes I guess. Thanks for looking.

That’s one nice lookin set up. Thought I was the only one that took things (gifts) apart to make something I like better. :)

I really like what you did. Much better than what it used to look like I’m sure. Nice job.
