Walnut chess table
The checker board is black maple (heat treated maple) and lacewood.
I admit, I cheated a little. I bought the ball and claw legs from tablelegs.com. The interior of the drawer is suede flocked to hold the chess pieces – sorry no pic for this, the project was delivered and I forgot to photograph the inside of the drawer.

Nice job. The very slight variation between the st bought legs and the table is quite pleasing. The soft sheen of the finish lends a certain elegance to the piece.

That’s gorgeous game table. Those claw and ball feet are a great touch. Nice work.

I’ve never heard of heat treated maple, is this a treatment you’ve done, or is it produced, and offered for sale? Nice Chess Table looks well made.
