I needed a piece of furniture to put in a corner. The challenging part about it was that in this corner, I have a doorbell, cold air return and central vac port. All of which, of course, had to be accessible. This was my solution. The most challenging part about this project for me was bending the bottom. I ended up using a technique called kerf bending that I learned from an episode of New Yankee Workshop, where Norm was building a wine stand. It only took me about 6 pieces to get it right. The corner piece is built out of pine and is stained with ebony coloured stain to match most of the furniture around the house. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

I think it looks good, and a great design to make everything accessible.

Very nice indeed. I like the design. Great use of space.
I can’t tell from the photo, are the small verticals turned or rectangular?

The vetricals and rectangular. Each corner was rounded over on the router table to make them look a bit softer. Since I made this project, I purchased a lathe. Next time I will definitely turn them just for fun.
