Hello all, I received a request to provide some detailed instructions on how to make the handle and the bolt for the vise I posted a couple of days ago. This video focuses primarily on how to keep the carriage bolt and the 1/4-20 nut from stripping out the holes they are pressed into. I hope you find it helpful.

Great video with intense detail!
Now that I know who to ask, I have yet more questions.
Do you think a square nut and bolt would give you more or less grip in the fibers of the wood or would the difference be not enough to matter?
There was a part in the video at about 5:15 into the presentation where the small block of wood rose up as it entered the cutting area of the blade. What do you suppose caused that? I haven’t seen that before.

Again, thanks for the step by step directions.
