desk for my daughter to match the bedside table. since it’s opaque-stained balck, I mixed and matched the woods – maple, pine and poplar here and there, but mostly sycamore. The top is birch ply banded with maple.
this is my last furniture project using pocket holes (or such is my plan) – time to force myself traditional joinery.
the drawer was hand-dovetailed, but most of the rest was pocket screwed
I love my Kreg jig and credit it with getting me kickstarted back into woodworking, no knock on the jig or the method, just time for me to take (what I feel is the) next step.

Great shaker style desk, I am sure the picture does not do it justice as I would love to see the grain pattern on this.

Thank you all for your kind words! Dusty56 it is 21” deep, 41” wide, 31” tall with 25” of vertical legroom below the drawer. Dimensions were based on the target location and user.
