This was a fun little project for my sisters new house, an oak slice, routered, then finished up with a dremel. I applied 3 coats of Danish oil and 3 coats of clear varnish. She was very impressed with the turnout, as was i…! -- making something from nothing, and making it your own... thats life. | |||||||

Wow! What did that tree look like? The heart seems to be way off to one side. Seems like you could’ve got a really wide quartersawn and cathedral cut board out of that.

unfortunately i dont know, this was a slice from a log down the log yard. lovely piece of oak tho, i agree!
