This is a timber and metal sign that a friend and I built over the last couple of weeks as commission for a local college. We decided to create a video to document the whole process from milling the log to hand forging some of the fasteners to the completed sign. You can see the video here:
Hope you all enjoy it!

A very nice job. Looks fantastic. (I’ll have to watch the video later.)
I knew “Elephants” & “Jackasses” (donkeys) did leadership training, but did not know that ducks took leadership courses! Lol.
Thanks for sharing this.

Excelllent. The video is nicely shot and edited, so good job to whoever did that. I saw several new possible addictions in it.

Thanks! We shot the video ourselves and I edited the video. Both parts of the project were fun, the building of the sign and the making of the video! Although I have to say that shooting the video while making the sign seriously slowed us down, but I think the end result was worth it.

Do you mind my asking what you used to shoot with? It almost looks like it might have been a DSLR and some decent glass.

Good eye, we shot it with a Canon 5DMark II and a few different lenses. It was all edited in Adobe Lightroom 4 and Premiere Pro.

diyaholic; leadership school for ducks, is how they fly in the “V” pattern, and when to change the leed duck.
Nice job CKM. when i first saw the sign, i thought it was the entrance to home of the Duck Dynasty guys …
