Thanks, that was the customer’s choice (son and dil). The design matches a blanket chest my son made a while back which is also posted on LJ’s.

The hardware is readily available – Create-A-Bed. They sell hardware packages for all different size beds that fold either horizontally or vertically. They are sold direct or through distributors – Google it. It also comes with excellent instructions including cut sheets that make it very easy. The instructions are for all plywood construction. I modified that so I could use the rail and stile panels for the face of the bed when folded.
