I wish I could say it was. The original piece was bought by a friend of mine while in France at a Bazaar. Their daughter, living in France , became insistant on wanting the carving so he came to me with the request of making something very similar. The original, made of different wood (not familiar to me), is very beautiful and no one has any idea of who made it. For me, it was an honour to work it and I can only imagine how much beauty must be in the originator’s shop.

Nice rendition. I first saw this design in Ho Chi Minh City in stone – Though, i guess it could still be of French origin.
