Grandson Sam is 3 tomorrow, this is a simple box for his Ironman, Batman, Spiderman figures or whatever else he might want to treasure in it. Box is from Cypress with Walnut splines, lid is from Spalted Maple with a Walnut handle all stained in his favorite color with green waterbase. The final finish is semigloss Deft lacquer…................Happy Birthday Sam…...............Granpa Jack

That is some really good looking wood and the box turned out really nice. It has a good finish on it too.

That’s a great box and very nice sculpting. Building stuff for your grandkids is the best isn’t it. My granddaughter is always appreciative and comments: “That’s bootiful Papadoc”. That makes it all worthwhile.
