Entry Hallway Bench

Commissioned by a client, this bench is 35” wide x 35” to the top of the crest rail x 17” deep. The species is walnut that has been stained first with walnut stain to even out the colour and then with GF Espresso stain. The walnut stain also prevented too much espresso from being absorbed, so the walnut undertones are still there. 2 coats of satin Endurovar serves as the top coat.

The front legs are turned as are the front spindles on the arms. The remaining spindles are from square stock. I lost track of how many hours it took lol!

I did upholster the seat myself. I think the hardest part of that was the corners and keeping the folds as thin as possible so as not to cause the seat to sit higher than it should in the front.

Great looking bench. I like the design of the bench and it looks well constructed. The underseat storage is a nice touch as well.
