New Bathroom Cabinets & Mirrors

Late last year we found a leak in my wife’s bathroom. Of course it had to be inside the wall, and all of the cabinets and a huge wall to wall mirror had to come out to get to it. After the leak was fixed, studs dried and the contractors finished dry walling, it was my turn.

I built new mission style mirrors and cabinets. I just made them out of flat-sawn white oak, but after putting on a Min-Wax dark walnut stain and a few coats of semi-gloss poly finish, here’s the final product.

I was very happy with the winter white Corian counter top; it really compliments the dark oak woodwork. As you can see, I put in a makeup vanity area in the middle between the two sinks.

All in all not an overly difficult project, but satisfying just the same.

Good Job. Something I would like to do in my bathroom.

Have your say...
