Pretty basic but we hope it will get the job done; the old console TV finally died after about 23 years. Upgrading to HD now, needed a stand for a new TV. This new stand is plywood and pine. The carcass is joined by pocket screws, the face frame has biscuit joints to the carcass. The feet are just small sections of 2×4. About 4 hours shop time to build, not counting painting two coats of Rustoleum satin black enamel.

Thanks Jim. I don’t expect much traffic on this one but I’m just past beginner stage and maybe this will help some other beginner out there.

That’s going to be quite a change from the old console to a sleek new look….nice work!

Looks quite sturdy. I like the pocket screw joinery. Nice paint job too.
