I was asked by one of my wife’s coworkers if I could make a little footrest for her to use at work. She drew something on paper that didn’t look anything like a footrest to me. I have never really used Sketch-Up before but I thought I would play with it to make a quick 3D drawing of what I was thinking would look nice. She approved the design so Sunday afternoon I made a little sawdust and a footrest was born.

That’s pretty cool, I need to start using Sketch up, I’ve installed just haven’t used it.

-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.

very nice impressed by anyone that can use skecth up. i tried,could not even make anything simple come out of it

I will be honest and tell you I failed the first couple of times I tried to use Sketch-up. I recently watched a couple of videos at and Sketch-Up made a little more sense to me.

I stumbled across this weekend and watched one of the videos. I think he has some great info and I hope to get a chance to look at the other videos soon.
