I have had good luck using Doublebubble 5 min epoxy inside if you intend to use it, and veg oil outside. There is no after taste after curing.

It won’t ever be used. If you look close in the exploded view you will see a crack. There is one oon the other side too. The piece of wood wasn’t dried enough yet I don’t think. Does the vegy oil let the smell come through?

The D/B would stabilize & waterproof inside, i didn’t think about smell. It probably spoil the bouguet…..
