Spalted Hackberry Pen

Spalted hackberry with a 15 degree cut mounted on a rhodium rollerball kit. I like how the black accents of the kit bring out the dark tones of the spalting. My 7 year old daughter says the wood looks like it’s made from sand, and she’s kind of right. Very interesting look to it.

CA finish buffed with wax. Thanks for looking.
