Very nice carving Steve. Kind of a double use item. Yet hidden. Did you use some kind of hardwood for this?

Now that is clever. I was asked to do a pipe. I was just gong with a basic one but now….. dammit I have a lot more work to do! After seeing this all kinds of ideas popped into my head. Thank you for some major inspiration. Just had a thought…. what about making it a three part piece and have a hollowed out section to store the…..well whatever the smoke of choice is.. lol crap.. more ideas forming… I will never get any sleep now… :)

Really clever design and excellent carving.
Question? Not being a smoker I am curious as to the wood pipe catches fire from the burning tobacco. I would hate to see such nice work get burned.
