Roll-Top Necklace Box

This Walnut Roll-Top Necklace box was inspired by a roll-top desk. This is a tambor top box (thanks a1Jim !) The rolling lid slats were secured to a durable cloth underlining for support. The interior track was routed to form a channel that lets the top to be carefully inserted/removed. The inside felt was taken from an antique. The felt and distressed finishing lets the box appear ‘old’.

The walnut box is (6 3/4 in wide x (8 1/4 in long) x (4 1/2 in high),

Thanks a1Jim for the info on the ‘roll top’ jewelry box. Your info is dead nuts on! The box is actually a tambor top necklace box
