This project started with my wife wanting something to replace the cheap plastic shelving she was using as a nightstand and the need to use the space behind the door for more than a place to pile things. This shelf was the result.

It is made from a single sheet of oak plywood with shoe molding to cover the ply. The finish is Watco wipe-on poly.

Nice combo! Amazing what one can do with plywood if you put your mind to it!
