I’ve been lurking for a while now and was inspired to make my first post by all the posts about bandsaw boxes. So here is the first one I did. I made it about a year ago and have done a few since but I am the worst at remembering to take pictures before giving the projects to the person it was made for. Let me know what you think..

The wood is purple heart, cherry and walnut in the center. The pulls are pieces of the cherry cut out.

Nice work.

We should keep an image record of all our work, not only to share but also as a reminder in times to come and to compare how our skills have improved over the time!

Jen I reckon your heart box is very good!

really cool. i have been planning on making one but only have basswood and butternut in my shop and all of the butternut is already roughed out for other carvings. You have a great talent.

Thank You for all the nice comments. This box had to come out as near perfect as I could get it. It was a gift for a very good friend of mine who deserves nothing less.

I do have some pictures of a few other projects that I will try to post soon.

P.S. Jen, that is a fine heart box that you made. Mine is not better just different.

Your heart’s fallen over, but it’s still in the right place – woodworking.
Nice work – keep posting.
