This is the first real project I have cut on my new/slightly used DeWalt 788 Type 1 scrollsaw and may I say, “it is wonderful”.

This item will go into the consignment store where I display my products. The name is the last name of the owner of the shop so it should get a lot of visability. The font is called Black Rose and I just love it for scroll work. I am not too excited with the brackets/or feet as they were a last minute detail.

In the shop I will charge a certian amount per letter and allow the customer to pick the color of finish.

Thanks for looking.

This is just beautiful, Jerrell! I am glad you like your new saw. I loved my 788 and it gave me many years of great service. This will open a whole new avenue for you and your scroll sawing. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I think it looks great! I am trying to improve on my scroll skills, but unsure how to put font on to the wood without drawing it freehand. As a novice, I would love any advice!
JERRELLS- I looked on microsoft word for that font, but did not have it. Any ideas for me?

Google it and you’ll find several sites that offer it as a free download. I recommend you make sure your antivirus software is up to date before downloading, never know what you’re going to get…

Good Luck!

Congrats on the new saw. The plaque looks great and I don’t thing the feet look bad. I thought that was a great idea.
