This was a light-hearted gift for my niece. She is a chef. I wanted to create a unique present using kitchen utensils.
The gift was a big hit. It has a spatula, basting brush, spoon, grater, pizza slicer and peeler as swing out tools and a set of tongs that pulls out the side.
It is about 39 inches long, 6 inches thick and little over 5 inches tall and weighs about 11 pounds.
I posted a blog on the build here .
Update 26 MAY 2022
I had a chance to document the kitchen gadget in its final home. It’s located in a Red Lion pub in Brinkley, Cambridgeshire, UK.
It’s in the window left of the door.
And a view from inside the pub.
The pub is in a building dated 1562. Brinkley is about 15 miles east of Cambridge. If you’re in the neighborhood (or close enough for a drive in the country) stop by and see it. Have a bite – the food is excellent!

Clever and original, and good engineering. Pic #6 seals the deal. Looks just like the real thing!
Of course, for the ultimate in authenticity, the red covers will have to fall off in about 6 months. ;D

I just love it Steve. Very creative and a great conversation piece. It covers two of my favorite things, Swiss army knives and cooking.
Two thumbs up !!

Brilliant Steve! This has to be the most original, amusing and appropriate gift I’ve ever seen. Good going! That would sure attract a lot of attention at your niece’s restaurant.
