This was made from scraps from another project I am working on. The parts are all birch plywood and made a awning type trim for the top. Having now about 15 different ones just hanging around its time to start putting some out or even try to sell a few. I have had people ask me if I would make them some type of birdhouse for spring. Well! here they are. All painted up and ready for use. I like using blue, red, green, light blue, white, black paints for exterior with at least 2 coats of paint and sometimes 3 coats on the exterior of the house only. Never on the inside !

Hi Duelly;

Welcome to lumberjocks.

I’ll bet there are no depressed birds living in your bird houses! LOL

Those are bright cheery colors. Nice work.

Nice job duelly. I like birdhouses and birdfeeders and you have a winner in this one. Is the top removable?

By the way I like the colors as well, especially the Kentucky blue that you painted the lower section. All you need to finish it now it is a picture of a Kentucky wildcat painted on the side. But then again that might deter the birds so let’s forget that one.:)

Nice project.

The top is fasten down as a fixed roof. Probably could have put one side that lifts but, next time. I am getting some more wood this week for some other different houses.

Thanks, everyone for the good comments. I like using different colors when I build these houses. I have about 10 different colors in quart cans that some are just factory colors and some I have taken 2 different colors to make a third color.

Great job. The detail on the roof is a nice touch. The bright paint is cool, too.
