We made 62 Christmas gifts this year with 50 of them being Drunken Tissue Boxes.

My wife has been wanting to make tissue boxes for a couple of years and I have been
putting her off. Once I saw the “Drunken” look I decided I would do the tissue box if It
could be the drunken look.

Thanks to woodworkers here at LJ who showed us how the drunken look was done and I
decided to join the drunken club and give people cheer this year with the drunken look.

My daughter did all the bandsawing and my wife helped with the sanding, roughing
out the center hole and the finishing.

The wood for the boxes consisted of Basswood for the light wood and Sapele, Peruvian Walnut
or regular Walnut for the contrasting color.

For the finish it was sealcoat and deft lacquer.

Thanks for looking.

Two things I don’t understand. How you know that many people to give Christmas presents to and how you get that much help in the shop. They are pretty cool looking….........
