For Christmas this year, I have made 4 doll beds. First I made one walnut and one maple for my daughter and step-daughter that live with me, and then continued to make two more from walnut for my two oldest girls that live in Utah, these are those two beds. They are about 22 by 9 inches and made from solid black walnut.

The have been glued and screwed and plugged so that no hardware is visible. After that, I flush cut the plugs and then wet sanded with 400 and 600 grit with Howard’s Feed-N-Wax. Smoothed it out really nicely and darkened the wood. After a good drying time and a good wipe, it’s not greasy at all and they’re ready to ship to Utah.

I also made the mattresses and sheet covers and the pillows, and my wife, Andrea, made the two quilts.
