I thought I would make a small little caterpiller as a gift for my wife. This was fun as well as easy to do. I just glued up some walnut, canary wood & yellowheart & started carving. I added some rollie pollie eyes, some bent finishing nails, (I found a good use for what might have been destained for file 13)! I put a smile on his face and gave him a bath in tung oil & called it a day. She loves it, of course I knew she would. I hope somebody gets a chuckle out of this, I know I did. Well as always, thanks for lookin, & Merry Christmas.

very cute. Looks like a friend of Jimminy Cricket’s. I’ll have to put that on my list to make. Your next challenge could be to make one that articulates.
