This was a birthday gift for my friend Adam. He showed an interest during my first Andy box so I decided he needed one also. I tried to make it more masculine looking for him.
Its made from Wenge & Bloodwood.
Thanks to my fellow Lumberjocks, the hinges came out much better than my last Andy box. Thanks for the advice guys & if you have any more input for this box, please post it.

Very cool box, makes me want to say something like “arrrrg matey”. I like how the top fits and how you preserved the edges despite what must have been quite a bit of sanding.

what sort of issues were you having with the hinges? both boxes look to have mortised hinges.

jumbojack… on my last box I didn’t use the silver screws before the brass ones. I had a few screws break in the wood. I also didn’t have a centering bit then so it was more difficult lining everything up.

It’s an unusual design and a nice box.
