This is a box I made for my dad a few years back. I’m pretty sure it was a Woodsmith plan. It’s made from cherry walnut and movingui veneer on the top. It was my first box and after I was done, I was ready for it to be my last box. Everything was great until it came time to install the hardware. It’s hard to see in the picture but there is a Brusso lid support on the left side. I did a fine job installing it, but once combined with the hinges, the lid wouldn’t close! I spent hours fighting with the hardware on this. If you were to take off the hinges you would see a LOT of dowel fillers after having to move screw holes around so often.

That’s a good looking box. You did a good job.
I’ve been to that same school you mentioned….the one about hinges. Tough course

That’s a great looking box. I haven’t been to that school yet. Please share a way to prevent from having to redo hinges.
