This is my longest stemed piece to date. base, stem, and finial are cherry and the cup is a very dark wood I got off of a friend. Why the finial is light I don’t know since they were from the same piece of wood.
Top and bottom of stem is 3/16 and stem is 11 inchs tall. complete piece is 18 inchs high. The finial is 1/16 out off line with the stem but hard to see since as its so long. finish is BLO and three coats of stray lacquer then buffed. Next one will have a thinner stem and way shorter.

Gorgeous goblet, it’s just like a craftsman to tell everyone their mistakes. LOL. Very nice lid and finial. The bottom sure looks like mahogeny.
