This is my new 3D pantograph courtesy of the plans created by Matthias. Looks complicated at first but the plans are well thought out and are explained very clearly. I built it in a weekend and works exactly as advertised.

I also have pictures of a sign that was commissioned by a coworker. Don’t worry, it’s not a sign for my shop! :D Rather than spending a lot of time making a modular template as shown in the plans, I made a one time template since I don’t foresee using the font for one of my own projects. I went with plywood for the template instead of using a plain sheet of paper because I wanted the depth of cut to vary with line with. It creates a nice 3d effect with the v-groove bit. I also stained the letters to make it stand out and appear burned in. It was finished with a couple sprayed-on coats of water based poly.

Very cool, I have to make one of these. Nice work. Thanks for the inspiration.
