Thought I had more time but the month just crept up on me and friend’s kid’s birthday party the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Drafted it really quick on sketchup and then started work on it Friday/Saturday and finished it about 30 minutes before delivering it to friend Sunday morning.

Made out of pine I found at the Home Depot scrap bin for $1 a piece :). There were a few mistakes that I was able to hide (whew) blowing out the table top edge when I drilled the dowel holes because I didn’t measure the right edge. Didn’t help I also blew out a knob an hour before delivering it so that was a mad dash to chisel the dowel and glue the knob part back. After delivering it, I realized I had rushed it so much that I sandwiched the back splash and front apron against the table top…oops :(. Hope it doesn’t crack from wood movement, it’s not terribly wide.

Altogether, it was a cheap and fun and QUICK project. $3 for the 3 pieces of pine lumber, alder scraps for the burner tops, walnut scraps for the faucet/knobs. Bowl from local supermarket. Finish was WB poly.
