Traditional Shaker style inspired by Frank Klausz’ dining table. Made from genuine mahogany. The legs were cut from 8/4 rough stock. The top was 4/4 rough stock, glued up and hand planed flat with a Stanley. This was my first big furniture project and first project on my tablesaw. Finished with wiping varnish which was a mistake as the finish was not durable enough and I now have some small dents and scratches.

I love that mahogany don’t you? I struggle with what finish to put on things that will get wear and tear over the years too. Too much finish and the wood is deminished, too little and the wood gets damaged. What to do? What to do?
Good luck,
