Cork display boxes from the idea of FaTToaD and others.

Left over materials in my shop to make display boxes. Scrap wood that was too nice to burn but not enough material to make anything else. Some maple, lodgepole pine, black locust, and some bullet ridden red oak.

Great for holding corks, marbles, coins, jelly beans, old fishing lures, and old antique buttons or what ever you want to display.

I wanted to be able to expose the plate of glass so these can open from the front. I used skeleton keys from Lowes as a brass pin. This makes it easier to clean the glass or to replace it, if it gets broken. Just pull out the key and the bottom part of the miter will expose the glass plate.
