So a few weeks ago I posted a picture of the small cart that I built for my cyclone dust collector and shop vac. I mentioned something about liking my tools to be mobile and multi-purpose. After I posted it, I got a few suggestions from you guys and got to thinking that the cart violated the “multi-purpose” rule. It had only one function.
So I decided to make it a work surface since it was already taking up space. Then I thought, well, I might as well make it an outfeed table at the same time. Then I thought I should add a vice to it. Then I realized that it would make a great router table as well. So little by little, I made it do more. I think it’s mostly done, though I might add some extra features like a door on the front to deaden the noise one of those iSwitches that turn the shop vac on with the tool that I will wire into it as well .
The Kreg precision fence I got off Craigslist for $40!!! I think they sell for $200 new! Anyhow, I’m pretty excited about the whole thing. Thanks for all your great suggestions!

A lot of birds with one stone. Cool.

Good job, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Do your locking wheels hold good enought for routing?

Not to hijack the post, but how do you like the vorteX dust separator? I have been trying to decide on it or a cyclone mini.
