This is my mirror for my bedroom dresser. Cherry with an oil finish(LandArk oil finish). It measures 39×66 at the widest. The actual mirror is 29×47. The mirror is also beveled. The frame is pegged mortise and tenon joinery, pegs are of cherry too. I made the molding along the bottom as well. I especially like the way I ended up with all the quartered grain around the mirror, looks really great. The corbels, well, the entire mirror is my own design. The dresser, which I am working on now, will be my own design as well.

Fantastic design and use of wood!

The cherry will only get better with age as it darkens and shows more of it’s character.

I don’t see any burn marks on the cherry – that’s a goal in itself! ;-)

Great project – thanks for sharing!
