This blanket chest design is from Woodsmith magazine. I made it as a gift for friends for the birth of their baby girl. It is made from red oak lumber and plywood. The inside front and back is lined with non- aromatic cedar. The finish is Cabernet with 5 coats of Semi-gloss with the lid having 9 coats (this for a child remember). For some reason the flash from the camera made it look lighter than it really is. The real tone is in the second picture.
