This is the armoire I built for my daughter. It is made of poplar. My wife designed and made the stained glass panels that I installed in the doors. The drawers are dovetail construction and have cedar dust panels. I used Briwax white wash as a finish and buffed it up. Daughter teaches art and designed the cabinet that she wanted. Not to say she has me wrapped around her fingers but this project moved to the head of list of things I am working on.

Hi Jeff,
I agree this is a nice looking piece of furniture. The stained glass adds a nice detail to it. You put the cabinet on the right priority track- after all she will always be daddy’s little girl (irrespective of how old she is). I am sure that you wife understands about her priorities getting bumped but I am sure that you will make it up to her by making her something extra special.

My daughter is 6 years old and you can ask her where daddy is and she holds up her pinky finger and says “wrapped around my lil’ finger”. I hope that she still says that when she is old enough to be a teacher. You did a great job on the cabinet.

A great job for a special person. Top of the list I guess.
