When I saw the glass jar I knew it would become a gumball dispensor – I think it was used to enclose a light bulb in an “explosion potential environment”, it’s a bit hard to see but the “top” of the jar is rounded.

The dish was a light shade I found that happens to match some of the fixtures in the house.

Sweet! (literally)

Nice gumball machine and I really like the jar with the rounded top. The red knob is a neat detail too!

Sure flippedcracker! The base is 3 layers of maple that I rough cut on the bandsaw, the bottom 2 are glued together while the top is screwed on to allow cleaning, I turned all three after connecting them.
The middle layer is where all the action is, the top hole lines up with the hole in the middle all the way to one end and the bottom hole lines up with the hole in the middle on the other end. If anyone wants more description, let me know.
