Cabinet is used to hold 11”x17” Engineering check drawings. I started this project at the beginning of the summer and used the cabinet without drawers most of the summer. At the end of the summer, I finally added the drawers.

There are a lot of things I did wrong. The work table saw was out of square and the drawers required a lot of custom fitting. Still the end turned out OK. And most importantly, the cabinet does what I wanted it to do.

I originally was going to just use the copier box lids on the shelves, but creeping elegance struck and I built real drawers. If I knew it in advance, I would have not built the horizontal shelves, just drawers.

Material is red oak plywood with veneer tape. Finish is Minwax Golden Oak stain which matches the interior doors in the office.
