This is a cedar box I made from left over scraps. If you look closely every piece of this box is actually two glued together. I cut several small pieces in half lengthwise and glued them together end to end. It formed a mirrored grain pattern. The box itself isn’t that special to me but the stamp is. My Grandfather got me started in woodworking. He had a rubber stamp that he endorsed his work with. My mother had one created to look just like it and gave it to me for my 30th birthday. Here it is.

lol Ya now I hold my projects to an even higher standard. I don’t want to put my stamp on something Grandpa wouldn’t be proud of. It is pretty near and dear to my heart.

Great work.
That came out nice.
Cool stamp too; your Mom knew what would be a special gift.
And welcome to Lumberjocks.

I really appreciate all of the positive feedback. I don’t know anyone to ‘talk shop’ with around here so this is a great venue for me. Thanks everyone for looking and commenting.
