A wedding gift for two friends. I salvaged a high-quality office chair & built a solid base. Turnings from Lowe’s. The chair is a blue suede. Hence the marks. Wrestling this project to completion during 100 deg. days in the shop was quite exciting – I couldn’t get any sweat on the fabric. Eventually, I built the thing on my living room floor. Thanks for looking.

The complete construction picture collection is now on my other blog:

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! I love it! Upholstery is too hard! It looks great! I love the way you are always in tune with giving things new life!

Nice Job Whiskey! I like the deep blue color. Looks like you have some talent at upholstery.

I gave it a try once and we used the chair for years.
When I would point out that I got the chair from the trash and upholstered it myself. The common response from visitors was, “I can tell.” Not a good sign for my upholstering skills.

I bet you won’t be hearing that on your chair. Very Nice!
