Hey LJ!

Just finished the my homemade bandsaw designed by Matthias Wandel and I wanted to show it off. It came out great painted black, tell me what you think.

I have also posted a video of some of the final stages. Enjoy!

Hey, congratulations! Takes courage to undertake something as technical and daunting as this.

If you had professional oversight—kudos. If not, let me be the first to suggest seeking out
a bandsaw expert (which I am not—don’t even own one—yet) for a review.

Again, looks great.

Alex that is totally sweet. I applaud you. I look forward to seeing it used in future project builds. You are an inspiration to this old man.

Thats a good idea actually, it would be nice to get a proffesional opinion of the quality of the bandsaw, only problem, where do you get one? hmm…
Thanks for viewing, Alex.

Awesome Job! How long did it take you? I purchased the plans a few months ago, but have yet to start. I have two other projects that need attention prior to me taking on this task. I’m envious of your accomplishment!

I would say at least two months in total. I did stop after building the frame and starting the wheels and started again on the project recently.
Thanks, Alex.

That is an awesome bandsaw!! And it’s so refreshing to hear complete sentences, and such good grammar from someone your age!! But of course, you are English!! Brilliant!!!!

Nicely done, Alex.

I may have missed it from one of the previous videos, but what wood did you use to build the frame?

That’s great Alex.

What’s next, a drum sander?, CNC router?
