For those of you who read my forum entitled “The truth is stranger than fiction”, this is the koa rocker that my client (or should I say ex-client) wanted me to give her in exchange for her 5 year old rocker. To her I say, “When dockeys fly, babe!”
I like making rockers and this is my most comfortable chair to date. The backrest are a little wide and it fits like a glove. The chair is made of Hawaiian koa with rosewood inlay. I’ll be taking it to a fair next weekend with all the other pieces I am finishing up for that show. Even if I don’t unload all my work, I’ll sure be relaxed and thankful for a well deserved break.

Whoa!!!!! This is a heirloom piece and I can see why your former client wanted a trade, She is hoping against hope that you will submit to a trade for her benefit, after all, she is a customer and thinks that customers are always right! Ha, I hope it will be a cold day in Hades when you give in!

I’d trade that for a 5 yr old rocker – if the old one was made of GOLD! That is a fantastic looking piece!

Beautiful chair! No wonder she was trying to steal it out from under you. Good luck at the show.
