My bird house is very simple.
I did not go to the extreme because a bird doesn’t see the difference.
I used no paint or stain so it would not harm the birds.
It’s all cedar board and shingles.
The peak is a piece of flashing so is the side clean out.
I used a steel pipe for a post so that no cat can climb up to the house.
I set it up in my tall edge of spruce tree in the back of my house.
I don’t have the cutest house but I thing I have the healthiest as it is all natural wood.

Very good Gman. I’m sure that the birds will love it.

That’s a great looking bird house. I am sure the birds will love it.

Couple of years ago I put up a birdhouse that my wife had bought, put it under the front overhang of the gargen shed, quite high up. Last year we had chickadees in it. This year, a pair of Merlin’s nested in a tree of our neighbors, and you didn’t see or hear any birds in the area until they were gone. Hope those Merlin’s find a different neighborhood.

Have a good one…........

Simple and elegant. Great proportions, blends in well with the elements.
