This is one of my newer flutes, it is made of Cherry wood, and accented with paduuk, the block or bird is also paduuk and african blackwood. This flute is also in the key of Gm and has been concert tuned. I was trying to come up with my own design on the block ( the piece tied down on top) and came up with something I like and probably you will see a lot of for now on. Carving isn’t really a specialty of mine, so carving animal blocks is not going to be something I would attempt , so I had to come up with something different and well here it is.

I have two more flutes that are done, just need the block made for them. It’s just been so hot in the garage lately that its really slowing me down. :(

Anyway, hope you like the new flute.

Ron I really like your flute. It would seem to me it would be very hard to get it in tune. Do you use a electronic tuner to get get the proper pitch? Beautiful woods!!!!!!!!!!!
