This basic box design was a welcome gift of my brother in law. It has black flocking and a foam bottom inside covered with leather so he can drop his specks into the box and not fear damage. The base is gaboon ebony, and the sides are black and white ebony. Fun to make.

This is a very unique gift. I am sure that your BIL appreciated it.

Great project. I was just looking at some 8/4 B&W ebony but at $80 BF I thought I would pass.

It looks great! I could use about six of these throughout the house.

Really nice. The wood is great and looks good on a small project like that.
